Karumba

Jules birthday today.

Michael and Graham went on a fishing charter this morning at 7 for 5 hours.  It was pretty windy today and as I would find out later, it was pretty rough out on the boat too resulting in more berley than normal over the side (Graham being one of then contributors!).

Jules, Jacob and I had a relaxing morning.  Jacob and Jules watch Shrek 3 while I stuffed around on the computer then we went next door to the Seafood Market as they were advertising coffee and cake.  Neither Jules or I drink coffee and there wasn’t really much of a set up so the lady made us up a pot of tea to go with our muffins we had chosen.  We had a cup each then poured the second cup and found big chunks of slime all through it so we got up and walked out.  A little bit later the owner came over to see me at our camp as we were set up at the back of the caravan park along the fence line between the park and the seafood market and she had said hello to us the day before.  She was very apologetic and blamed ‘the girls’ for not cleaning out the pot and gave us a couple of vouchers for some fish and chips however I wasn’t keen to use them after the ‘tea’ experience.  We decided to go for a drive to see if there was any shops, when we pulled up at the first one Jacob was sound asleep so Jules went in to check it out and I stayed in the car with Jacob.  There was no way he was going to have a sleep at camp – too much to do and he still needs his day sleep/s.  There wasn’t much of interest to us there so we drove to the next one where Jules went in and this time found herself a nice t-shirt as a souvenir.  Soon after we got a call from Michael to say they were back at camp so we headed back as it was lunch time anyway.  We decided to be brave and use the vouchers from next door to get fish and chips for lunch.  It was good.  Jacob grabbed a piece of lemon and started sucking on it and even though he was screwing his face up he kept doing it!  We spent the afternoon relaxing, eating prawns and went for a swim in the park’s pool.
