We are down to the last two days of the trip – home tomorrow.  Unfortunately today, we blew a head gasket in the Landcruiser and will have to nurse her for the 1000km to home.  We are blowing plenty of smoke (although it was hard to get a picture of it).  We stocked up on engine oil as we have to top it up regularly.  Thank god it didn’t happen earlier in the trip!

We spent our last night on the road at a caravan park in Augathella and it was freezing.  We were not expecting that after the temperatures we’ve been used to.

After an uneventful day of driving we arrived home late in the afternoon and whilst it is nice to be home, I can’t help but feel sad that our biggest trip to date is over.
